Missing Cobra ‘Spotted’ On Twitter

That cobra that escaped from the Bronx Zoo last Friday has been spotted, on the popular online service Twitter.

Actually, Zoo officials are confident the cobra is somewhere in the Reptile House, but it could kill someone within 15 minutes under the right circumstances

A cyber version of the Egyptian cobra has surfaced on a first-person Twitter account.

On twitter.com/BronxZoosCobra , a bogus Cobra had 16,000 followers and was adding several thousand followers an hour as it roamed through Manhattan

The bogus Cobra was having problems getting a cab, looking for “Spiderman” tickets and wondering if it should bite Donald Trump.

Then, a tweet just before midnight said, “It’s getting pretty cold out. I think it’s probably time to crash. Oh look, an apartment window someone left open just a crack. Perfect!”

Back at the real Bronx Zoo, officials said it may take weeks for the real Cobra to surface but they are sure it didn’t leave the zoo.
